Frozen Tones

Hey everyone! So today is another look and this one is even more wintery than the last. For this look I was inspired by the colors of the cold, all the frozen shades and things that make you feel icy. I went for an Inglot shadow(AMC Shine 28) that is a very pale shimmery blue but it has a duo chrome that just makes you think of ice and icicles.
Here's the color palette:
All Inglot: AMC Shine 28, D.S 478, Pearl 426, D.S 483, AMC 61

I went for a true blue for this look rather than a blue with a green tint like a teal because I feel like that's more of a summer shade. The navy and baby blue are a lot cooler.
Here's what I came up with:

I chose a baby pink blush color to give that look like you've been out in the cold and your cheeks are all flushed. I also went for a sheer, silver, sparkly gloss on the lip to add to the iciness :)

Here's a list of the products I used:
Face: MAC Face and Body in N1
17 Stay Time Concealer in Extra Fair
         E.L.F Tone Correcting Powder
Sleek Makeup Blush By 3 in Sweet Cheeks
         Benefit Dallas Bronzer
Eyes: Two Faced Shadow Insurance
NYX Jumbo Eye Shadow Pencil in Milk
         Inglot Matte 358 (Brows)
         Essence Lash and Brow Gel
         Inglot Pearl 426
         Inglot D.S 483
         Inglot D.S 478
         Inglot AMC Shine 28
         Inglot AMC 61
         Inglot Matte 354
         Inglot Matte 373
         Inglot AMC Pure Pigment 59
Inglot AMC Gel Liner in 77

Sugar Plum

Hey Everyone! So I have another look for you. Today's look is inspired by winter, Christmas treats and of course glitter! I wanted the look to be dramatic and sparkly because the glitter reminded me of the sugar and sugar plum just makes you think of Christmas. It's a really fun party look and purple is a very flattering color on anyone.
Here's the look I came up with:

This look is dramatic but it's great for the holidays and I love a good glittery look for party season. I went for a silver lipstick to make it look like I've been out in the cold but I've applied the lipstick in a subtle way so it's not too harsh.

Here's a list of the products I used:
Face: Kat Von D Rehab Priming Elixir
Nars Sheer Glow Foundation in Light2 Mont Blanc
MAC Select Moisturecover Concealer in NC15
Kat Von D Lock-it Tattoo Concealer Light 18
Make Up For Ever HD Powder

         Essence Lash and Brow Gel
NYX Jumbo Pencil in Purple Velvet

New York Haul

Hey everyone! This post is going to be different than my previous ones as it's my first haul. There aren't many pictures, this post is more like an introduction to the products and I will have lots of posts coming up that will include swatches and reviews of the products.
Now I must warn you I did buy a lot of stuff and this is just the makeup and skin care not including clothes, shoes and jewelry. I went a little insane because I live in Ireland and we don't have Sephora, Macy's or Walgreens. We do have some of the brands in those stores like MAC, Inglot, Urban Decay, Clinique and Smashbox to name a few but we don't have Wet 'N' Wild, Nars, Kat Von D, Covergirl and the Sephora brand and more. So I went nuts!
Here's what I got:

One of my main goals was to get the Sephora Favorites sets. I got the Lash Stash mascara set which mean I'm set with mascara for about a year. I will gradually review this set one by one because if I open the mascaras they will start to dry out. That set was $45 I think.

I won't be reviewing the Victoria's Secret fragrance set or the Sephora Favorites 'Give Me More Lip' until after Christmas because they are Christmas gifts from my mother and I'm not allowed open them :P

I will try to have a look and a review up every week if I can. I have more holiday looks coming up which I hope you like. I hope to do a variety of things on my blog including makeup looks, reviews, makeup series and maybe some nail designs if you guys are interested. Look out for the reviews and more looks coming up.

See you all soon :) x

Pine Tree

Hey Everyone! Long time no post! So as I have said in my last post I went to New York and did some major shopping. I had an awesome time and want to go back again soon. I mostly did makeup shopping because living in Ireland means we don't have a Sephora :( I plan on doing a huge haul probably this week and then gradually review  the products after I've got a feel for them.

But today I have a look for you. This look is inspired by the pine trees of winter. It's a good look for parties as it's quite smokey. I chose a dark forest green and brown to represent the trees and a little touch of gold sparkle because it's the holidays!
On with the look:

I went for a dark and smokey look. I chose to go with quite a warm, almost reddish, brown to contrast a little with the green and it is also matte which helps with the contrast of the shimmery greens.

Here's a list of products I used:
Face: Catrice Ultimate Moisture Fresh Skin Makeup in 010 Light Beige
Collection Cosmetics Lasting Perfection Concealer in Fair
         E.L.F HD Powder

Winter Lips

Hi Everyone! So I have some exciting news! I'm heading to New York on the 18th of this month :D I cannot wait and I plan on doing soooo much shopping when I'm there. I should have a look up maybe before I go or while I'm there. I will take loads of pictures if I can and probably do a blog post on it and maybe a haul.

Anywhoo I do have a look today for you and it's another Winter type look. This is actually one of my favorite makeup looks. I find that a deep plum or purple lip suits me a lot better than a red lip and even when I wear a red lip I tend to gravitate towards a wine or burgundy shade. I think it's because I'm a neutral, slightly cool tone skin and the cooler the red or purple the better. It also could be that I am so pale which I love and the plums and burgundys make you look paler.
Here's my color palette:
All Inglot R-L: Freedom System Lipstick 42, AMC Shine 30, AMC Shine 153, Matte 344, Matte 360

I love pairing these lips with a very neutral eye. It could be just a nude lid and a light taupe in the crease with some mascara or a more defined eye with some shimmer and liner like what I did here.

Here is a list of the products I used:
Face: Maybelline Fit Me Foundation in 115
Maybelline Fit Me Concealer in 15
         E.L.F HD Powder
         Sleek Blush in Antique
         Benefit Dallas Bronzer
Eyes: Two Faced Shadow Insurance
         Inglot Matte 358 (Brows)
         Essence Lash and Brow Gel
         Nyx Jumbo Pencil in Milk
         Inglot Matte 344
         Inglot Matte 360
         Inglot AMC Shine 153
         Inglot Matte 373
         Inglot AMC Shine 30
Collection Cosmetics Lasting Colour Gel Eyeliner in Brown
Bourjois Volume Clubbing Ultra Black Mascara
I-Envy By Kiss Lashes in Au Naturale 08 – KPED08
Lips: Inglot Freedom System Lipstick in 42

Mulberry Wine

Hey Everyone! It's now getting colder and darker and winter is finally here. One of the things I think about when I think about this time of year is mulled wine. Even though I don't like wine myself there's something about mulled wine that says warmth and makes me think about an open fire.
This is the look I came up with :)

For the eyes I applied a mauve shade all over the lid but I kept it very soft. I wanted to keep the focus on the lips but still wanted the eyes to be in the same color family.

I wanted the lips to have that berry stained look like you get when you drink red wine and it leaves the lips looking slightly red. I didn't want the lips to be a true red but a more pinky red like a berry.

Here is a list of the products I used:
Face: Maybelline Fit Me Foudation 115
Collection Cosmetics Lasting Perfection Concealer in Fair
      Kryolan Translucent Powder
Sleek Blush By 3 In Sweet Cheeks
      Benefit Dallas Bronzer
Eyes: Two Faced Shadow Insurance
      Inglot Eyeshadow Matte 358 (Brows)
      Essence Lash and Brow Gel
      Inglot Eyeshadow Matte 341
      Inglot Eyeshadow D.S 487
      Inglot Eyeshadow AMC 75
      Inglot Eyeshadow Matte 354
      Inglot Eyeshadow Matte 373
      Inglot Eyeshadow AMC Shine 29
      Inglot Eyeshadow AMC 63
Inglot AMC Gel Liner in 77
Urban Decay 24/7 Glide On Liner in Zero

Halloween 2013: Candy Corn Eyes

Hey Everyone! I have another Halloween look here for you today and this one is a little different. I decided to do  a look that wasn't costume related but still was inspired by Halloween. I decided on a Candy Corn look because I loved the colors and I thought it would look cool on the eye.
Here it is :)

I wanted to keep the color order of the candy corn. Even though the orange is deeper than the yellow and you would think to put it on the outer corner, I kept it on the center like the traditional candy corn. I also kept the shape. The candy corn is like a triangle shape so I kept the inner corner sort of pointed and the outer corner straight and slightly squared off.

I chose a bright fuchsia pink lip because I wanted to keep the look really bright and fun. You can always opt for a peachy shade or a nude to keep the look wearable but I wore this out because why not! :P

Here is a list of the products I used:
Face: Maybelline Fit Me Foundation in 115
Maybelline Fit Me Concealer in 15
         E.L.F HD Pwder
         Benefit Dandelion Blush
         Benefit Dallas Bronzer
Eyes: E.L.F Eyelid Primer
         Inglot Matte 358 (Brows)
         Essence Lash and Brow Gel
         NYX Jumbo Pencil in Milk
         Inglot Matte 368
         Inglot Matte 373
         Inglot AMC 51
         Inglot D.S 474
Sleek Vintage Romance Palette - Pretty in Paris
Collection Cosmetics Dazzle Me Eyeshadow in Jaffa
Barry M Dazzle Dust in Yellow Gold
         Inglot Matte 354
Catrice Ultra Fine Ink Eyeliner Waterproof
         Ardell 137 Lashes

Halloween 2013: The Witching Hour

Hi there! Here's the next Halloween look this year and it's a witch inspired look. For this look I didn't want to do the traditional green faced big nose witch. I wanted a look that was inspired by the traditional witch.
I did a pale face with some grey contouring to give that sort of ghostly effect. I chose green because I love how it looks but you can chose any color you want that matches your costume, purple would also look great with this. Just a little warning there's a lot of pictures.
On with the look!

I used Inglot eye shadows to complete this look because you all know I have a slight obsession with that brand and when I say slight I really mean scary obsession :P

Here is a list of products I used:
Face: Kryolan Ultra Foundation in TV White
         E.L.F HD Powder Translucent
         Inglot D.S 501 (contour)
         Inglot Matte 348 (Deeper contour)

Halloween 2013: Sugar Skull

So it's that time of year when we all get to play with blood and paint and costumes and just be freaks together. It's Halloween!! I love this time of year because as I said we get to be freaks and it's pretty damn awesome. I have a few Halloween looks coming up this year and I'm kick starting it all with this look, the Sugar Skull.

I know the sugar skull has been done to death by now and the are so many different versions out there but I've never tried it before so I wanted to give it a go. I think the reason the sugar skull has been done so much is because it's such a great costume especially if there's a party and you only find out the morning of Halloween. you can wear anything with this look whether it be a little black dress or a full on costume it will go with anything and all you need are face paints which can be found almost anywhere this time of year.
So here's my look :)

You could easily decorate this anyway you like. There are hundreds upon hundreds of looks and reference pictures here on the web that you could get inspiration from. You can also use whatever colours you like. You could go full on neon and bright or a black and white sugar skull would look awesome too so get creative.

Here is a list of products I used:
Face: Snazaroo Sparkle White
         Kryolan Supracolor 070 White
         E.L.F HD Powder

Copper Smoke

Hi there! I'm here again with another Fall inspired look for you all. I am going to be doing some Halloween which will be coming up very soon and I will be doing my very first video tutorial ever! Exciting right? I think I have about 6 Halloween looks planned so we'll see how that goes.
Now on with the look. :)
This is another makeup trend that I found online and it is orange/copper shadow. This is a great look for all you blue eyed babes out there as the warm orangey copper shades really make cool blues pop. I wanted the look to be quite smokey as I don't really do smokey eyes that often, I get too caught up in the colours :P
I used all Inglot shadows for this look as I do have a serious obsession with Inglot it's getting scary!
Here is my colour palette :)

                                       R-L: Matte 354, Matte 360, AMC Shine 12, Pearl 605 and AMC 63

I used two copper shades, one is a true copper and the other is more of a burnt orange. I mixed these together get the copper colour and the burnt orange adds some more warmth into the look

I brought the colours out slightly to lift the eye and give a more sultry cat-eye effect. I also paried the eyes with a natural warm pink, like a my own lips but better colour :P

Here is a list of the products I used:
Face: Maybelline Fit Me Foundation 115
17 Stay Time Concealer in Extra Fair (undereyes)
Collection Cosmetics Lasting Perfection Concealer in Fair (blemishes)
