Disney Princess Series: Pocahontas

Hey everyone!

I have the 8th Disney Princess inspired look for you today and it's one of the more wearable looks in the series. This look is inspired by Pocahontas so we have lots of earthy and woodsy tones. Her skin is a beautiful copper brown shade and most of the film has that real warm rustic feel so I had to incorporate it into the look with the warm brown crease.

I used a sparkly copper pigment as liner to bring in some of the fairy-tale aspect from Disney. Pocahontas had a turquoise blue necklace which I added on the waterline and I think it contrasts really nicely with the warm tones of the look.

Here's the look:

This look is great if you have blue eyes and want them to stand out because the warm browns and coppers really brings out the coolness in blue eyes. The red tone in the browns will also make green eyes stand out and the turquoise liner would contrast beautifully with brown eyes.

This is what I used:

          ELF High Definition Powder

Hey everyone!

Today's look is quite a fun and bright look while still being smokey (which are my two favorite combinations). It's a great look for a night out and looks pretty intense with the teal and pink that contrast off each other beautifully. The thing about this look is that this is my third time doing this makeup look to upload to the internet because each time I did it I ran out of time to take pictures as I had to rush out. So I'm so happy I finally got to upload this and I love how this looks.

Zest of Lime

Hey everyone!
I'm getting all in the mood for Autumn and Halloween and the Fall trends and makeup looks for Fall. One thing I'm not looking forward to is the weather (I hate cold weather and being cold in general). So today's look is a fun and bright look that I think is a perfect way to bring the Summer to a close. This type of green, the bright lime green, is one of my favorite colours so I love using it in makeup looks.

Here's the look I came up with:

I chose a light pink lip because I love how any kind of pink looks with green. I think they make each other stand out and look really flattering.

Wearable Colourful

Hey everyone! If you haven't guessed already I love my bright, bold and intense looks but I also like to do wearable looks and try to make them interesting and eye catching. Which is what I did for today.
This look is basically a pinup inspired look with a twist. The green/teal liner instead of black really adds a pop of colour to the look. It gives definition like a black winged liner from a distance but at a closer look it's a pretty green which really catches the eye.
Instead of a red lip I did a fuchsia lip because it's really fun and bright and the pink makes the green liner stand out beautifully.

Here's the look:

The eyeshadow itself is super simple and quick it's just a skin tone shade on the lid some soft mauvey taupes in the crease to add a shadow and a shimmery white on the inner corner. Very quick and easy to do :)

Here's a list of the products I used:

Face: Maybelline Fit Me Foundation in 115
Maybelline Fit Me Concealer in 15
         Makeup Forever HD Translucent Powder
Sleek Makeup Blush By 3 in Pink Lemonade - Macaroon
         Benefit Dallas Bronzer
Eyes: Inglot Eyeshadow Matte 358 (Brows)
         Essence Lash and Brow Gel
         Too Faced Shadow Insurance
Inglot Eyeshadow Matte 354 (Matte Skin Tone)
Inglot Eyeshadow Matte 373 (Matte White)
Inglot Eyeshadow Matte 341 (Matte Peachy Pink Nude)
Urban Decay Naked 3 - Nooner (Matte Mauvey Taupe)
Urban Decay Naked 3 - Strange (Matte Pale Creamy Pink)
Femme Fatale Cosmetics Eyeshadow in Moonrest
Inglot AMC Gel Liner in 86
Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-on Eye Pencil in Mainline
         ELF Volume Plumping Mascara

Disney Princess Series: Rapunzel

Hey everyone!
Today I have another Disney princess look and I think this is my 7th Princess look now so I'm just over half way through which is awesome! It feel like this is flying in and I am loving this series.
The look I have today is inspired by Rapunzel in the Tangled movie. Tangled is one of my favorite Disney movies and I don't think it get the recognition it deserves. It's a beautiful movie with the different colours in the film and the story and it's also very funny especially the horse Maximus who is my fave.

Anyway the makeup look I did was using the colours that you see on Rapunzel herself with the purple and pink dress that she wears and her bright golden hair that is the focal point of the movie. I wanted to incorporate one of the most iconic scenes in the movie which is the floating lanterns so I did that using some pink and gold rhinestones.

Here's the look:

I went for a light pink natural-ish lip to keep the focus on the eyes. I didn't want to do a nude lip because I wanted the lips to still have some colour.

Here's a list of the products I used:
Face: Fuschia Makeup Moisture Foundation in 1. Nude
Collection Cosmetics Lasting Perfection Concealer in Fair
         Kryolan Translucent Powder

         Essence Lash and Brow Gel
         ELF Eyelid Primer

Inglot EyeShadow Pearl 439 (Purple with blue duo-chrome, outer 1/3 of the lid)
Inglot EyeShadow D.S 493 (Light lilac, blended into the crease)

Setting Sun

Hey everyone!
Today's look is quite a Summery look and is very much inspired by a Summer sunset. In Summer the colours in the sunsets are so vibrant and intense that I just had to do a look inspired by it. I wanted the colours to be super bright and punchy.
I put the yellow on the center of the lid to act like the sun and surrounded it with the orange and blended them into each other to look like the sunset. There is sometimes hints of purple in the sky during the Summer and there is a very pale blue during a sunset.

Here's the look:

I wanted the skin to not look too heavy so I really buffed in my foundation. You can still see most of my freckles and it still looks like my skin so it keeps the focus on the eyes.

I also went for a very natural lip. Like a my lips but better nude and a touch  of clear gloss. Again this keeps the focus on the eyes.

Here is a list of the products I used:
Face: Fuschia Makeup Moisture Foundation in 1. Nude
Collection Cosmetics Lasting Perfection Concealer in Fair
         Kryolan Translucent Powder
Sleek Makeup Blush by 3 in Pink Lemonade - Macaroon
         Essence Matte Bronzing Powder 02
         ELF Shimmer Palette
Eyes: Inglot Eyeshadow Matte 390 (Brows)
         Inglot Eyeshadow Matte 358 (Brows)
         Essence Lash and Brow Gel
         ELF Eyelid Primer
         NYX Jumbo Pencil in Yellow

Disney Princess Series: Jasmine

Hey everyone! So today is my 6th Disney princess inspired look. The look I have for you today is inspired by Princess Jasmine. This was actually one that I could not wait to do and I love how it turned out. I love how it's a dramatic and smokey look but still has the bright colours on the lid, that's definitely my kind of style.

The colour I went for were bright blue to match Jasmines clothes and the gold for her jewellery in the movie. I went for an Arabic style makeup for the overall look as I thought it went well with the style of the movie so I used a navy blue to make it dark and smokey.

Here's the look:

I did quite an intense eyeliner for this look by making it thick and winged out and bringing it into a point on the inner corner to elongate my eyes and make them look bigger. I chose a rosy nude lip to keep the focus on the eyes.

Here is a list of products:
Face: Fuschia Makeup Moisture Foundation in 1. Nude
Collection Cosmetics Lasting Perfection Concealer in Fair
         Kryolan Translucent Powder

Colour Pop!

Hey everyone! I have a look for you all today! This is an in between look while I am doing my Disney Princess Series. The look itself wasn't really planned the colours sort of just popped out at me while I was looking at my eye shadows trying to decide what to do.

I love the monochrome look with the pop of green on the lower lash line. Of course you can use any colour on the lower lash line like purple or blue or even pink would look pretty cool too.

Here's the look:

The pop of colour on the lower lash line is a great way to introduce some colour into your makeup looks. It's a great look that's eye catching but still isn't too intense.

List of the products I used:
Face: Maybelline Fit Me Foundation in 115
Collection Cosmetics Lasting Perfection Concealer in Fair

Disney Princess Series: Ariel

Hey everyone! I have another Disney Princess inspired look here today. This look is inspired by one of my favorite princesses, The Little Mermaid otherwise known as Ariel. This look is even more dramatic than the other princess looks I've done but it's a fun and colourful look.

For this look I wanted to incorporate a lot of the colours we see in the movie. So red for her hair, purple for her shells, green for her tail and blue for the ocean. The shape of the eye shadow  too represents the fish in the movie, with one wing pointy upwards and the other pointing down it almost looks like a fish tail I think.

Here's the look:

I added some pearls as an extra touch to make it even more under the sea looking but they are completely optional.
For lips I chose a coraly pink stained gloss because well its coral and coral is found under water :P

Here is a list of the products I used:
Face: Fuschia Makeup Moisture Foundation in 1. Nude

Disney Princess Series: Tiana

Hey everyone! So today I have the next Disney Princess installment for you guys. This look is inspired by the Princess and the Frog otherwise known as Tiana. I loved this movie and the music is awesome plus her dress is fab! And my favorite character in the movie was Ray the firefly.

I pulled my inspiration from her dress which is beautiful with different shades of green and shaped like leaves in a waterlily. It also has some gold sparkles scattered all over the dress. So for my look I tried to use these different elements.
I used different shades of green on the eye which blend into a greeny gold shimmer in the crease and I used a green gel liner instead of black to bring in more green. I love how this look turned out.

Here is the look:

I applied a very fine gold glitter along the lower lash line to add the sparkles.

Spring in Pastels

Hey everyone! I have a Spring inspired look for you today. I'm still doing my Disney princess series but I will be doing some looks in between that too of different ideas I come up with.
When I think of Spring I think colorful but still keeping it pastel. I kept the look pretty much matte and also used a white base to help keep the look pastel. I kept the skin pretty natural so you can see my freckles showing through. I think the look is pretty and Springy and I like how it turned out.

Here's the look:

For the lips I wanted a pink kind of tint like a my lips but better color with a slight gloss. And on the cheeks I chose a light cotton candy pink which I think gives a natural flush to the cheeks.
